Ninety years of showing up. 

Arcwell opened in 1936 as a family agency in Pasadena, CA. Three generations later we are still independently owned, still answering our own phones, and still writing policies for families whose grandparents signed with us.

The name is the new part. In 2025 we became Arcwell. The licenses, the carrier relationships, the claims files, and most of the people did not change. What changed is who we build for: organizations serving youth and families, contractors and developers, real estate investors, and households whose assets have outgrown a standard policy.

That is a narrower focus than most agencies our age would admit to. We think it is the honest version. There are risks we know cold -  abuse and molestation liability, contractual risk transfer on a job site, wildfire-exposed property in California, D&O for a volunteer board. There are risks we would send you somewhere else for. We will tell you which is which.
